Day 1: Night
Verses: Isaiah 9:2-7
Back Then: Although we think of Jesus being born at night because of the star, it was also a spiritually dark time. It had been over 400 years since God spoke through the prophets. People were very sinful. The Romans controlled everything.
Today: Although people can be afraid of the dark, Christmas is a time where Jesus made it so we no longer have to be afraid of sin, death, and the bad things in this world. Because of the birth of Jesus, we can rejoice and be glad.
Family Talk: What is one of your favorite parts of the Christmas season?
