Day 14: Cattle
Verses: Leviticus 1:1-9
Back Then: Bulls were used as a burnt offering. It helped the people come into the presence of God. It was a pleasing thing to God for people to sacrifice a bull. It was step number one.
Today: At Christmas, God was pleased to use Jesus as a way into God’s presence. Like the bull in Leviticus, Jesus was unblemished. A relationship with Jesus is the only way people can come to God. Jesus is the only way to salvation and eternal life with God. Knowing Jesus is step number one.
Family Talk: What are some of your favorite smells of the Christmas season?
Painting Help: The bull can be as far to the left as you want. There is still another image to put below the donkey, so don't crowd the stable. As always, if you don't like the placement of anything you have painted, paint over it. Another help is that if you find your figure (bull, donkey, wiseman, etc.) matches the background too much, you can get a very fine tipped brush and outline the character with white or black.
