Day 17: Shepherd
Verses: Luke 2:16-20
Back Then: The shepherds talked to Mary and blessed her heart. It seems they talked to just about everyone about what they saw. Like the wise men, the shepherds started praising God when they met Jesus.
Today: Praising God when we meet Jesus is the right and natural thing to do. We should also tell others about Jesus also. Sometimes that can seem intimidating, but it is really just saying what we see and hear. You don’t have to memorize anything.
Family Talk: What is one of your favorite memories of a previous Christmas?
Picture Help: The shepherds are supposed to be in a worship position. Place them wherever you think best conveys a direction and posture of worship. I chose a color I ended up not liking when it dried. It doesn't appear on the pictures here, but after the project was completed, I went back and painted over the shepherds. Easy fix. You can doctor up any parts of the painting you would like to see different.
