Day 2: Land
Verses: Mark 1:12
Back Then: Most of the places in the Bible have little vegetation and lots of desert. Jesus wasn’t born in the Garden of Eden. When He left heaven, He gave up paradise to live on earth and be cold, hungry, tired. The baby in the manger did cry to let Mary know when He needed something.
Today: Jesus went through the same kinds of things we went through today. We can trust Him because He came to earth and knows what it is like to be a person.
Family Talk: What is one of your favorite Christmas decorations?
Painting Help: The land will cover the bottom 2/3 of the picture. You don't have to divide into hills and desert, but I think it helps seperate out different elements that will come later. Once again, if you don't like the way your first attempt looks, paint over it. This will be the longest painting day. Everything from here on will be the size of a stencil and won't take as long.
