Day 4: Stable
Verses: Luke 2:7
Back Then: With everyone reporting for the census, the inns filled up. The stable might have been in a cave, or even the bottom floor of someone’s house. Regardless, no one went out of their way for the birth of the Messiah.
Today: We can get busy and self-centered in our lives. Do you ever leave no room for Jesus because you are too busy with sports, video games, or other things?
Family Talk: Everyone take 30 seconds (1 at a time) and see how many things you can name that you did today (or yesterday if it is morning time).
Painting Help: The stable or creche is the centerpiece of the painting. After painting the stencil outline, go back and add a light solid color inside the stable. It will help with highlighting who is in the stable later. Also, if you don't like the way your hills and desert meet after you add the stable, paint over it and make adjustments.
