Day 6: Shepherds
Verses: Luke 2:8
Back Then: Shepherds were not highly thought of back then. They were the poor and overlooked. It is amazing that angels came to the socially awkward and unimportant.
Today: Jesus came for everyone regardless of how rich or poor, smart or slow, pretty or homely, popular or lonely a person is. We can be glad Jesus was born for us. We need to remember Jesus also came for people we like the least. Everyone is created equal in God’s eyes. We need to see everyone as equal too.
Family Talk: What are some of the coolest parts of being in your family?
Picture Help: This is one stencil that you might want to make adjustments to you painting. The shepherds in the field need to be all the way to the left of the canvas and need to at least 3" from the top. It could be as far as 4.5" from the top. You don't have to have a ruler, I am just trying to give more directions than eyeball it. Just pick a spot in that range that will look good standing on a hill. As for the color, they are still not really in focus and kind of in the dark. But pick whatever color you want. This is also the first of the people, so you will need to decide how much detail you will paint. For little kids, a solid color is recommended. If you are wanting details like face and hands, just go back after the initial shape and add features.
